Job Description

The role of Implementation Manager is to implement the new business of our large / jumbo case clients into our pension operation and to project manage any amendments or plan changes for our large / jumbo case clients. The role involves relationship management, consulting and project management.

Relationship management:

  • Primary contact for the client during implementation / amendment phase. Manager has the overall accountability for the relationship with the client, ensuring the needs, expectations and timelines set out in the project are being met.
  • Coordinates and facilitates the plan launch meeting with the client and all project team meetings.
  • Provides weekly status report of implementation tasks to client and project team via email. Sets up conference calls and attends face to face meetings as required.
  • Supports the project team and assists them in resolving any issues.

Implementation Manager must ensure they have a complete

  • grasp of client's issues and requirements as well as an understanding of all processes involved in the implementation. Implementation Manager must keep themselves up to date on the responsibilities and internal workflow within each of the affected teams to ensure that appropriate decisions and direction is provided and ultimately a smooth implementation is achieved.

Consulting:

  • Supports, participates and provides input in the presale process.
  • Works with the client and implementation team to obtain plan details, clarify requirements, and establish delivery dates for tasks in the project.
  • Optimizes the plan's activities, as it relates to implementation and administration, providing recommendations on plan design, service options, payroll remittance methods, technology solutions, and any ongoing administration needs to the client.
  • Applies understanding of legislative and privacy guidelines to assist client in meeting their fiduciary responsibilities.

Project Management:

Qualifications

  • Bilingualism is an asset but not required
  • PM designation is an asset but not required
  • Previous Group Retirement product knowledge required
  • RPA designation an asset but no required
  • Previous experience working in the Insurance industry required
