Senior Enterprise Security Awareness & Relations Specialist to develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive security awareness program (19332)

Our large Oil & Gas industry client is seeking a Senior Enterprise Security Awareness & Relations Specialist to develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive security awareness program.

This is an initial 14-month contract with a possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be based in Calgary following a hybrid working model.

Must-Haves:

• Experience developing and executing security awareness and training programs.
• Strong data and metrics analysis skills to assess program impact.
• Expertise in security communication-translating complex security topics into clear, actionable messages.
• Proficiency with reporting tools, dashboards, and presentation development (e.g., Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of social engineering tactics and human-risk management principles.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience supporting executive or board-level reporting.
• Familiarity with corporate communications or public affairs functions.
• Understanding of enterprise security frameworks or cybersecurity best practices.
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Security Awareness Program Management: Lead enterprise-wide awareness initiatives (e.g., Cyber Security Awareness Month, phishing/social engineering campaigns, annual training updates).
• Metrics & Reporting: Develop dashboards, metrics, and reports for leadership (Audit Committee, Board, VP updates).
• Communications: Create and deliver internal and external security communications, briefing notes, and rapid-response messaging.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain relationships across business units and Corporate Communications to advance enterprise security culture.
• Continuous Improvement: Monitor emerging threats, measure effectiveness, and refine awareness strategies.
