Description
Would you enjoy leading a team in a fast-paced, complex, change-oriented environment that impacts the delivery of front-line healthcare services? Scheduling Shared Services supports day-to-day scheduling tasks for AHS employees and managers. As the Scheduler Team Lead (STL), you will provide expertise in staffing office operations by directing staffing clerks and monitoring workloads in collaboration with the Staffing Service Centre (SSC) Manager. You will support Unit Managers, Charge Nurses, and Relief Team Managers to ensure work plans and schedules are maintained in a Scheduling System Application. Strategic communication and problem-solving will be key in collaborating with managers to resolve high-priority scheduling issues. Your expertise will help anticipate staffing needs and communicate effectively with client groups. Dynamic customer service skills are needed to support clients in using the Scheduling System Application and extracting information from reports and statistics. The STL will act as a mentor, promote a positive work environment, and maintain team cohesion using proven conflict resolution skills. You will also review timecards, analyze admin exception reports, investigate pay errors from a timekeeper perspective, and make necessary corrections for accurate pay. STL’s will support SSC hours: 0530 to 2330.
As an Administrative Support V, you will require advanced administrative or specialized skills and knowledge to support complex procedures, practices and initiatives within a department or program.
Completion of post-secondary education (e.g. certificate in office or business administration).
Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience. Minimum 2 years of staffing services experience (scheduling, timekeeping and payroll). Demonstrated leadership experience. Ability to participate and complete 3-week STL Training course as required. Ability to participate and complete additional training as required. Knowledge and operation of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Experience with a Scheduling System Application. Current experience working in an AHS Centralized Staffing Service Centre. Timekeeping and payroll processing experience with Scheduling System Applications. Call Centre experience. Demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience. Experience working in a unionized, health care and 24/7 environment. Knowledge of applicable collective agreements.
