Description

As a Placing Broker, you will report to the Assistant Vice President -Marketing.

Your responsibilities:

  • Work with Account Executive and Account Representative to provide our clients with the best terms and conditions available for their insurance portfolio;
  • Provide a commercial insurance placing service to Account Executive;
  • Collaborate with other members of the team to meet the insurance needs of clients;
  • Inform Account Executive and Account Representative of new guarantees and market practice;
  • Develop and maintain tools for analysis and comparison of different insurance products on the market;
  • Participate in industry events and promote the interests of Vézina with insurers on a regular basis;
  • Actively participate in the development and implementation of annual objectives with our partner insurers.

Requested skills

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial insurance;
  • A university degree or college diploma or equivalent work experience;
  • Increased knowledge of various insurance policies, including property and automobile insurance, civil general liability, directors & officer liability, professional insurance, cyber insurance, pollution insurance, crime insurance;
  • Have a valid Insurance Broker permit issued by the Autorité des marchés financiers;
  • Bilingual (French and English);
  • Have business development skills;
  • Good knowledge of MS OFFICE (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint);
  • Have a CIP diploma (an asset);
  • Knowledge of TAM software (an asset).
