Rosedale Transport, Mississauga Terminal is looking to hire a qualified Safety Administrator to join their team.
Work Week: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM till 5:00PM
Salary: To be discussed
Reports To: Director of Safety
- 2 years’ experience in a Safety and Compliance role
- 5 years of experience within the transportation industry
- Previous Experience in Hours of Service / Log Auditing
- Strong Knowledge of Canada / US Rules and Regulations
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills suitable for a diverse working environment
- Ability to deal with people sensitively tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
- Able to work well under pressure
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Proficient Computer Skills
·Audit all electronic logs both Highway and City.
·Review all violations with the driver, and provide training if the driver does not understand the violation.
·Licensing of all fleet tractors and trailers.
·Maintain monthly Owner-Operator maintenance reports and ensure we are up to date with all Owners.
·Obtain expiring documents from all Drivers/Owner-Operators as indicated in driver profiles.
·Ensure completion of the Health & Safety Excellence Program to ensure maximum rebate from WSIB.
·Administer the uniform and safety shoe program.
·Investigate unreported accidents and track down the responsible party.
·Other duties as assigned
Business Equipment and Computer applications:
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Truckmate TMW systems, Cross Boarder Applications, P.I.P., Ace, C-TPAT Protocol, E-hours of service
