Description

We seek a full-time, application engineer responsible for managing custom projects, designing industrial air filtration systems for specific customer applications, and managing public bid opportunities in a fast paced growing company. The application engineer will report to the head application engineer on the progress of existing projects. The application engineer will also be responsible for creating bill of materials for custom engineered products and will work with the production group to provide instructions and support for equipment assembled on site, 

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITY

  • Manages a portfolio of custom projects, bringing proposals from quotation to production. 
  • Works with Purchasing, Order Desk and Production Manager to complete projects
  • Manages Public Bids, Coordinates with locale contractors to complete proposals and installations
  • Works with quotation department to prepare engineered quotations
  • Prepares cost estimates and margin analysis on engineered products
  • Uses AutoCAD and other programs to create plant layouts, conceptual and approval drawings for customers

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIANCE

Bachelor of Engineering with a minimum of 3-5 years related experience.
  • Proficiency in design programs: AutoCAD Required, Solidworks and Sketchup an Asset
  • Basic knowledge of ventilation principles an asset
  • Ability to multitask by handling diverse assignments concurrently
  • Strong understanding of materials, engineering theory and principles of design
  • Experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial and Manufacturing Engineering
  • Fluent (written & oral) in English, French an asset
  • Organizational/prioritization skills to be able to work in a multitasking environment
  • Ability to work both individually and in a team environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
