UX Research Project Manager
This opportunity is for a UX Research Project Manager who is extremely strong in multi-tasking, enjoys working on a variety of projects that may vary in length (days/weeks/months/years), is able to handle large project volumes, understands the complexities of an Agile work environment, and has the ability to influence decisions and drive results. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working in technology or product-based initiatives including web, desktop and mobile.
This person will be fully dedicated to supporting the UX Research team, guiding them through successful end to end completion of UX research studies and projects related to desktop, web, and mobile projects. They will oversee team capacity to help managers make informed decisions on what work to take on and who to assign it to. This position requires constant communication, collaboration, and coordination with UX leaders, business leaders and technology partners throughout the organization.
About the Role
In this opportunity as UX Research Project Manager you will:
Analyze reporting to understand team utilization, current backlog and bottlenecks - and advise on reprioritization as needed
Develop detailed project plans, metrics and reports to ensure expectations are met and risk is mitigated
Manage team communication
Monitor progress of studies and projects through the UX and SDLC cycles
Represent Research Team interests in meetings with the Business and Technology
Contribute to ongoing product development roadmap
Assume estimation responsibilities related to scope of work
Facilitate Scrum and Agile ceremonies as applicable
Constantly look for improvement to processes and deliverable quality
Manage UX Research studies end to end (intake to documenting next steps)
Manage UX Research team resource allocation (pending and current)
Manage Research and project requests and capacity planning ensuring that study activities are on time and within expectations
You are a fit for the role of UX Research Project Manager If you have:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of Project or Program Management experience
3+ years of experience in a large scale data-rich environment
Expert in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project (or equivalent application)
Demonstrated execution of project management methodology
Knowledge of SDLC in waterfall and Agile projects
Proven process and project management success.
Ability to manage multiple projects and requests simultaneously and under high pressure and tight deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong quantitative analysis skills
Ability to partner effectively in a highly matrixed organization
Project management or Agile certification (e.g. Certified ScrumMaster, Professional ScrumMaster, PMP, PMI-ACP or similar)
User Experience Design Team or Technology Team experience
Product development, web, mobile or multi-channel experience
