This is a high-profile role leading the product management of a strategically important legal software solution. The qualified candidate will have a passion for AI, innovation, and a customer-focused mindset. Strong problem-solving skills and a delivery-focused operational mindset are a must as the Director will work directly with customers, stakeholders, technology, and go-to-market teams in a cross-functional, agile environment to deliver new AI-powered products and product enhancements to the market.

Lead the product build of a new global legal productivity solution using a design-led and customer-centric approach
Lead and develop a high-performing legal product management team that falls in love with the customer problem to be solved
Define and lead the overall roadmap, product design, and business requirements
Be the product visionary that articulates the problem, opportunity, and solution to customers, cross-functional product-build teams, and internal stakeholders.
Be a champion for agility and pace by ensuring the product development process for this product is aligned to the new ways of working within the organization.
Own the definition, design, development and business success of the product. Champion legal products to prospects, customers and internal stakeholders
Apply product management, industry, and market expertise to develop the product roadmap and provide thought leadership on emerging industry trends.
Partner with strategy teams, sales, internal stakeholders and customers to validate requirements, priorities and refine requirements for broad market
Work with architecture, engineers, data scientists and user experience teams to determine right technical solutions to develop faster, better and cost-effective solutions
Manage complete product lifecycle including market requirements, product release plans, user story and success criteria authoring, and product launch activities
Work with key stakeholders (Product Management, Marketing, Proposition, Legal, Finance, Support and more) on collateral and campaigns, ensuring a well planned and executed the go-to-market strategy
Prioritize work and make strategic trade-off decisions during the development cycle with a focus on delivering immediate business value with shorter release cycles.
Monitor market changes and trends to formulate and communicate competitive product positioning and identify opportunities for current and future business consideration
Work collaboratively with our customer segment leaders to launch the product on time to co-development customers and early adopters.
Participate in the creation of a strong story around why customers should choose this solution from Thomson Reuters.
Participate in revenue planning and pricing decisions for new products
Devise business plans for budgetary approval
Self-starter who understands how to effectively deal with ambiguity and changing priorities.
Strong analytic skills required, including the ability to interpret customer and segment leads needs into application and operational requirements.
Good team player - must have a successful history of resolving team conflict, managing negotiations, providing feedback, and driving change management practices to achieve required outcomes.
Required experience in Agile Scrum Agile Development Methodology focusing on the daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives and consistently improving maturity in agile practices.
Driven to provide quality work product that meets high-standards
Demonstrate strong business acumen throughout the product management lifecycle
Solid communication skills both written and verbal
Degree in a technical or business-related field required. MBA or other advanced degrees desirable
8+ years of relevant work experience delivering results in complex enterprise software
Strong track record of end-to-end delivery on one or more complex products involving a global, cross-functional team.
Background in B2B SaaS products, AI and Machine Learning
Familiarity with TR’s legal product portfolio in product management, proposition, or solution role a plus
Experience with Agile / Scrum software development desired
Demonstrated ability to bring a new product to market in a competitive environment
Demonstrated ability to define the product roadmap, to translate business problems into product requirements, and to launch products to stakeholders, the market, and customers
