Our client is looking for a Sr. Program Manager to support management and technical requirements for multiple capital construction and renovation-based projects.


Overview:

The Program Managers’ responsibilities will include the provision of strong leadership in delivering multiple complex projects simultaneously, with many stakeholders and many complex needs. The Program Manager(s) will report to the Director of Health Facility Services and will support all aspects of program management. This is a highly visible, busy, and challenging role that will be focused on supporting major capital construction projects


Must Have's:

  • 11+ years of experience in project management within the building construction or information technology fields
  • Experience in healthcare IT or construction, specifically involving the support of IT infrastructure in major capital construction projects
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) standards and guidelines and must have PMP Certification or PgMP® Certification


Nice to Have's:

  • Possesses a bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. A combination of education and relevant experience will be considered;
  • Possesses advanced communication skills and have proven their capability to translate complex technical solutions into business focused language
  • Demonstrable skills in diplomacy and leadership
  • Thoroughly knowledgeable of the standards, codes, and regulations pertaining to the construction and maintenance of structures and facilities
  • Proficient skills in such programs as Microsoft Office Suite including Teams
  • Ability to be flexible and willing to adapt to changes in workload
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Capable of working independently


Responsibilities:

  • Overall planning, coordination and delivery of the IT scope in multiple complex, high priority, major capital construction projects;
  • Develop dashboards and reporting analytics to show progress;
  • Oversee the procurement and financial tracking;
  • Provide communications to executives, partners, stakeholders and users throughout the projects;
  • Manage the organization change associated with the projects; and
  • Prioritize critical project milestones and work amongst competing demands and priorities.
  • Have ability to simultaneously manage multiple complex and high priority projects;
  • Support an effective, proactive cross-functional project team that may consist of both management & non-management individuals in an environment that encourages innovation, teamwork, initiative and open communications; promotes and models the corporate values;
  • Recognize both personal and team success;
  • Maintain a high level of competency in project management related disciplines;
  • Provide leadership to project team members, as required, in successful project implementation;
  • Project planning, management, coordination, change management & transition, and communications are all key aspects;
  • Manage program change and address program issues including organizing, leading and documenting critical project meetings;
  • Facilitate multiple stakeholders through design and construction to meet the desired scope, budget and timeline, including:
  • Developing and managing project schedules, including high-level milestone plans;
  • Overall procurement management and tracking;
  • Overall program coordination of information management information technology (IMIT) scope;
  • Project planning including scope development and project scheduling;
  • IMIT budget development and management throughout project lifecycle;
  • Issue management, escalation and tracking;
  • Decision-making support and tracking;
  • Site coordination;
  • Assigning priorities and identify the resources required to meet the needs of the program;
  • Preparing, monitoring and communicating the approved project charter, schedule and budget;
  • Reporting and managing variances to project charter, budget and timeline immediately;
  • Provide regular program status reports;
  • Oversee all stages of the project cycle through conceptual, schematic and detailed design, construction, client T/O, commissioning and project validation; and
  • Inform and advise Director of project delivery risk and mitigation strategies
