S.i. Systems municipal client is looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to help prepare for FIFA 2026 World Cup by ensuring robust cybersecurity measures are in place

12-18 month contract to start, remote candidates considered but preference for local candidates in the lower mainland.

Must Haves:

• Proven experience in conducting security threat risk assessments.
• Experience Web Application Firewall (WAF)
• Experience managing the deployment of complex cybersecurity products.
• Experience running cybersecurity tabletop exercises.
• Experience coordinating cybersecurity activities across multiple separate organizations.
• Experience in DevSecOps.
• Experience in deploying and managing security controls in Azure.
• Ability to document complex technical configurations accurately.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, Azure related certs, etc).

Description & Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in conducting security threat risk assessments, managing the deployment of complex cybersecurity products in a large environment, and coordinating cybersecurity activities across multiple organizations. This role is crucial in helping the city prepare for the FIFA 2026 World Cup by ensuring robust cybersecurity measures are in place. Additionally, the Senior Cybersecurity Analyst will focus on maturing our cybersecurity practices in Azure to protect cloud-based assets and data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct security threat risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Manage the deployment of complex cybersecurity products to enhance the organization's security posture.
• Run cybersecurity tabletop exercises to simulate and prepare for potential security incidents.
• Coordinate cybersecurity activities across multiple separate organizations to ensure a unified security strategy.
• Assist with implementation and management of DevSecOps practices to integrate security into the development and operations processes.
• Deploy and manage security controls in Azure to protect cloud-based assets and data.
• Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions for deployed and update cybersecurity systems and services.
• Ensure comprehensive documentation of all deployed and update security controls.
