Senior Business Intelligence Developer to build data platforms using ETL scripts (Informatica/Business Objects) and Azure Data Factory (Microsoft Fabric) a

Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Developer to build data platforms using ETL scripts (Informatica/Business Objects) and Azure Data Factory (Microsoft Fabric) applying data modelling principles

Candidates can be 100% remote in Canada working MST hours. 37.5 hour work week

Must have:

• 5+ years of experience a Business Intelligence Developer focusing on ETL Scripts (Informatica/Business Objects) and Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric
• 5+ years’ experience of business intelligence and analytics solutions using Power BI
• 5+ years of experience applying data modelling principles (Kimball Dimensional Modelling), including working with database technologies and scripting, such as Oracle or SQL Server.
• AZ-104 Certification (willing to train, hut will need to complete before starting)
• Experience mentoring other business intelligence and analytics developers.

Nice to haves:

• Knowledge of cloud data architecture (lakehouse, modern data warehouse)
• Experience with Azure security: managed identities, RBAC, data controls
• Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps (Azure DevOps, Git)
• Up to date Microsoft DP-600 & 700 certification
• Data virtualization using Denodo and Business Objects
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with SMEs to define reporting requirements.
• Work with our client's IT Governance team to validate solution architectural proposals.
• Review and update data marts as needed.
• Develop ETL scripts for new tables.
• Develop pipelines within Azure Data Factory.
• Prepare technical documentation for maintenance.
• Train internal support staff.
