Our client is seeking an Intermediate Business Analyst to manage, track and coordinate multiple SOW enhancements in ServiceNow using JIRA for tracking


This is a hybrid role onsite 3 days/week in Edmonton or Calgary


Must haves:

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar capacity, managing SOWs and project coordination
  • Proficiency with ServiceNow, Jira (including release and sprint planning), MS SharePoint, and familiarity with SDLC methodologies
  • Proven ability to work and coordinate with multiple business units, vendors and stakeholders often across locations


Nice to haves:

  • Experience working in an IT or application development environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or related field


Responsibilities

  • SOW Management for Small Enhancements:
  • Manage and track multiple small enhancement SOW requests in ServiceNow, ensuring accurate documentation and timely progression through approval stages.
  • Coordinate SOW response timelines with vendors and internal teams, seeking necessary business and technical domain approvals.
  • Development Tracking & Planning:
  • Use Jira to track development work, defects, requirements, and manage release and sprint planning for small enhancements.
  • Maintain clear records and status updates, facilitating knowledge transfer and shadowing sessions as needed for new requests or transitions.
  • Business Analysis:
  • Work closely with SOW requesters to gather, clarify, and finalize business requirements for small enhancements.
  • Map current and future state process flows, merging process with technology to support solution design.
  • Participate in requirements clarification and support high-level design with architecture and technical teams.
  • Process Improvement & Documentation:
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve process flows for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stakeholder Coordination:
  • Communicate effectively with developers, vendors, business stakeholders, and management to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
  • Generate regular reports on SOW status, development progress, and process efficiency.
