Summary of responsibilities

To provide the most helpful and professional service to our clientele and ensure that all our families are provided with quality funeral services. Meet, plan and direct funeral services within all regulations permitted by law.

Main duties
  • Answering all inquiries and providing funeral services information to customers either by phone or in person.
  • Meeting families and planning funeral services: Collect data, fill and process all required documentation, offer all of our products and services available, order and coordinate all resources (ex: clergy, obituary, place of worship…) required for the funeral service, prepare documentation needed by families for estate settlement and provide all necessary information to the dispatch.
  • Directing funeral services: as specified by the family during the funeral arrangements, provide all documentation necessary to settle the deceased’s estate.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in the funeral or cemetery industry or as a funeral director could be an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Fluently bilingual in English and French (written and spoken), a third language would be an asset.
  • Computer literate: word processing, e-mail programs and internet, knowledge of spreadsheet programs would be an asset.
  • Intellectual: Detailed oriented and organized thinking.
  • Interpersonal: Social sense, good communicator, ability to adapt to changes, empathy, good listener and ability to understand the family's needs.
  • Attitudes and behaviors: Excellent personal presentation, integrity, ethical, autonomous, quality oriented and ability to work under stress, available and flexible.
  • Work motivations: Insure that families are receiving the highest quality possible funeral service from the time of death to the final disposition, and beyond.
