The Payment Service Officer position is an opportunity to use your customer service skills and knowledge to make a difference in the lives of Canadians.

On a daily basis, you will be called upon to provide quality telephone service to serve a diverse clientele regarding the Employment Insurance program or the Old Age Security and Canada Pension Plan programs. Our agents subscribe to a rigorous quality program in order to be equipped to perform well in meeting service standards.

If you qualify, here is what you could do:

  • Answer continuous telephone calls, collecting and recording information in computerized systems by looking at your computer screens while working at your desk.
  • Identify the need of callers and consult existing procedures to provide them with accurate information;
  • Help clients understand program legislation, clarify procedures and processes that need to be followed to receive services and/or benefits from the Department
  • Defuse difficult situations with professionalism, respect and courtesy while being sensitive to callers needs’
