The position of Payment Service Officer at Service Canada is for you! We are looking for positive people who are adaptable and able to work as part of a dynamic team.

As a Payment Services Officer, you will make decisions about Employment Insurance claims. Decisions include validating information, assessing eligibility, calculating benefits and determining overpayments or underpayments.

If this position interests you, here are the tasks you could do:

  • Conduct research with clients and employers to gather information, validate facts and discrepancies, and process applications in accordance with procedures and guidelines;
  • Determine eligibility and entitlement to benefits through the application of legislation and regulations;
  • Provide general information on the Employment Insurance program: explaining legislation, decisions and procedures to clients;
  • Participate in team meetings to exchange constructive ideas for continuous improvement.

Essential qualifications
