What you’ll do

Position Title: SAP iXp Intern - UX Designer

Location: Vancouver, BC

Expected Start Date: July 2024

Contract Duration: 6 months

Work Hours: 40 hours per week

The Plutus team is seeking a UX designer intern to drive innovation in our platform, particularly in the realms of central RI savings and generative AI features. Collaborating closely with our Senior UX designer, the intern will partake in user research studies to gain valuable insights and inform the design process. Their primary responsibilities will include crafting intuitive interfaces for new reporting features and dynamic reporting tools. Additionally, the intern will play a pivotal role in standardizing Plutus' design language, ensuring consistency and enhancing overall usability for our diverse user base. This internship promises an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge development while honing valuable UX design skills within a supportive and dynamic team environment.

What you bring

We’re looking for someone who takes initiative, perseveres, and stay curious. You like to work on meaningful innovative projects and are energized by lifelong learning.

Position Requirements:

  • Develop and deliver user personas, workflows, journey maps and storyboards
  • Strong proficiency in design systems and Figma application
  • Prototype design solutions using Figma
  • Create component and pattern guidelines
  • Flexibility to work with a global team in various time zones
  • Clear and concise communication, both verbal and written
  • Strong desire to interact with and learn from senior members of the team

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP mainly) & basic understanding of Cloud Cost management
  • User testing, user interview, and research experience preferred
  • Stakeholder communication and presentation experience preferred
  • Requirements gathering and domain research experience preferred
  • Familiarity with development tools such as JIRA
  • Domain knowledge of rate management/cloud hyperscalers

Educational requirements:

  • Currently studying or have recently completed an undergraduate or graduate program in Human Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, UI/UX Design, Information Technology, or Information Systems

We are a full-stack development team. We use JavaScript, UI5, and Node.js for Web UI development and our backend services are using Java Spring Boot. We also manage CI/CD pipelines for our services using Azure. In addition to these technical skills, you will get to work in a highly collaborative environment using agile software development methodologies.

SAP provides the hourly base salary rate range applicable for the posted role. The targeted range for this position is 24-40 CAD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidates will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. SAP offers limited benefits for employees hired into hourly or like roles subject to appliable plan/policy terms.
