Description
Job is based at our Montreal plant
Salary 27.49 after 16 months, 26.33 at hiring, + shift premium (night = 1.50/h, evening = 0.75/h)
The operator / adjuster is responsible for production on 2 high capacity automatic machines (500 bags per minute).
The machines are made of 3 sections running in line:
-Flexographic printing (2-4 colors)
-The bag making/forming
-The bundling press.
Your tasks includes:
-Machine start up
-Feeding raw materials (paper, ink, glue)
-Maintenance, lubrification and mechanical repairs
-Troubleshooting and adjustments
-Product setup on each machine section
-Quality control
This job requires logic and mechanical skill in order to perform the various precision adjustments
The training period is 8 weeks
The schedule is from Monday to Friday
Night: 0h00 to 7 am except 1st day starts Sunday at 20h00, week ended on Friday at 7h00am. 36.5 h / week
Evening: 15h30 to midnight, 40h/week
Possibility to work on 12h shift from september to december (1 week @3 days, 1 week @ 4 days, average 42h/week)
