Our expectations
The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP), DC & DDC will collaborate and proactively support all leadership levels and employes at RONA distribution centers and direct delivery centers on all matters regarding Human Resources management, including employee relations, performance and development, claims, and attendance management. The HRBP will also take part in various projects regarding human resources management in order to support RONA strategic plans.
Your role
Support HR business strategy, objectives and organizational transformation to contribute to business performance & results
Establish a solid, proactive, and flexible business relationship with managers and employees to properly understand their issues and challenges and support their professional growth
Identify improvement opportunities and/or HR challenges to which managers are exposed while helping them face these situations in responsible and strategic ways and encouraging them to adopt the behaviours expected of leaders within the organization
Provide advice and support performance management, workforce planning, and succession planning
Work in collaboration with various HR Centers of Expertise and cross-functional teams to ensure the organization and client’s HR needs are met
Actively contribute to the deployment and continuous improvement of HR programs, policies, and procedures, as well as working conditions
Manage the investigation process for complaints
Participate in any other projects that contribute to achievement of corporate goals
Perform any other related tasks
The qualifications we are looking for
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a Human Resources Generalist with a strong background in handling basic and complex Employee Relations situations
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in similar roles within a national, large-scale distribution or manufacturing organization
CHRP/CHRL designation, an asset
Experience in a multi-unit environment is an asset
Available to travel in assigned geographic market
A bachelor’s degree in industrial relations or human resources management
Proficiency in an advisory role with strong interpersonal & communication skills in order to influence others and work effectively at several levels of the organization and across multiple functional areas
Proficiency to adapt to unexpected and changing situations while managing priorities
Process-oriented and strong bias to action
Excellent organizational skills with ability to handle multi-tasks simultaneously
Problem-solving skills and motivation to constantly take on new challenges
Ability to make informed decisions under pressure
Proactive approach to provide high-quality service to internal clients
** This position is based in Calgary and requires regular travel.
