Advisor, Campaign and Content Strategy

About the role

 The Advisor, Campaign and Content Strategy is responsible for supporting the training and awareness initiatives within Rio Tinto’s Legal, Governance, Ethics & External Affairs (LGE&EA) function.

In this role, you will support the Principle Advisor, Campaign and Content Strategy to help create and deliver creative projects and initiatives aiming to raise awareness and share knowledge about Rio Tinto’s LGE&EA function. More specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Contributing to the development of LGE&EA communications and training strategy;
  • Assisting with the roll-out of communications and awareness-raising initiatives;
  • Working with internal stakeholders and external providers to support in the creation of innovative and engaging video/web content for various purposes, including but not limited to annual mandatory awareness/training modules, intranet articles (Element), bespoke email communications, presentations and Yammer campaigns catering to a diverse audience;
  • Producing ad-hoc communications, awareness and training materials when requested by various teams within LGE&EA;
  • Contributing to the updates and management of the LGE&EA Element portal, Microsoft Streams pages, internal learning management system (Rio Tinto College), and Yammer groups;
  • Organising, overseeing and managing general administration including budget tracking, reviewing translations, updating and saving videos, ensuring SharePoint is organized, invoicing etc.

About you

 To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing/advertising or any relevant fields;
  • Proven experience developing creative content for awareness, social media, website or marketing/advertising fields (ideally a minimum of 2 years);
  • Experience in digital publishing and generating traffic. Knowledge of graphic design and video editing software is preferred;
  • Experience working with external agencies (i.e. video production companies, graphic designers, etc.) is essential;
  • Excellent speaking, writing and editing skills in English and French is essential;
  • Creative thinker with excellent content generation skills;
  • Proactive and highly organised, with strong time management and planning skills;
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite
