What is the opportunity?

We are seeking Technical Analyst (Technical Operation Analyst, Cybersecurity and IT Risk Analyst, and Identity and Access Management Analyst) to join the RBC Global Asset Management (RBC GAM). If you are passionate to learn about IT operation and technical support, please read on.

Technical Operations Analyst

  • Utilizing all available resources to perform issue investigation and troubleshooting e.g. documentation, escalations etc.

  • Monitoring and improving the availability of our software solutions and data integration batch jobs.

  • Proactively supporting in-house applications working with various monitoring tools.

  • Creating and maintaining documentation for incident resolutions.

Cybersecurity and IT Risk Analyst

  • Conduct manual access reviews and role recertification.

  • Provide guidance to business and technical stakeholders on RBC's compliance standards.

  • Engage in organization level remediation planning.

  • Manage and conduct Non-Personal ID & Password Access Management remediation project.

Identity and Access Management Analyst

  • Confluence Procedure Review/Update Project Dedicate time to putting a fresh set of eyes on procedures and ensuring that knowledge is documented clearly in our procedure library.

  • Assist with gathering requirements to create and publish new My MarketPlace forms which will reduce processing time for access control requests.

  • Assist with the creation of documentation for new processes in the access control confluence page.

  • Assist with onboarding / granting access to teams across GAM (UK, US, BlueBay, Indigo).

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Major in computer science or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training

  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience with SQL, C#, Java, NodeJS, Python, and Microsoft technologies be beneficial (school project experience counts)

  • Knowledge of supporting Windows and Mac operating systems

  • Knowledge of supporting mobile devices such as iPhones, iPads, and Android devices

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to change

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both business users and technical individuals

Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge and experience in supporting a trade floor environment.

  • Understanding of Active directory

  • Understanding of trading systems such as Bloomberg/Reuters products

Please note: To be eligible for these student positions, you must either:

  • Be returning to school after the work term end-date; or
  • If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating immediately after the work term), you must require the full work term as a mandatory component in order to graduate successfully.
