Human Resources Leader - Americas
Manufacturing | Toronto


Our client is a global manufacturing company headquartered in Australia! They are currently looking for a Sr. HR Manager to lead their North & South American HR team. Reporting to the GM People & Culture, in Australia, you will maintain and enhance the organization's human resources function by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of Human Resources experience in a manufacturing, mining, or heavy industry.

What you’ll be doing:
• Work closely with the General Manager P&C to develop and implement strategies which build the organizational capability, ensure operational compliance and governance, employee engagement and shape organisation culture plans and initiatives.
• Contribute to and support the development of strategic human resource initiatives and leading the execution of company-wide human initiatives and programs through locally placed HR Business Partners
• Participating in business transformation plans and strategies including the successful execution of organizational change, organizational development, and business acquisitions for the Americas region.

To be successful in this role you will…
• 10 plus years in a senior HR position within a multi-national company in the manufacturing or
resources industry.
• Be an influential leader, excelling at building trusting relationships with remote employees in order to elevate your team's capabilities and encourage their development
• Play an integral and strategic role in supporting business goals and objectives for increased growth.
• Be responsible for supporting the organization in a wide variety of HR activities including full life cycle HR support in a working leader capacity.
• Strong command of Employment Law & OHRC knowledge, and exposure in a unionized environment
• College or University Degree in Human Resources Management or related field; CHRP is an asset
• This position provides an opportunity to demonstrate your strategic orientation as well as execute on the tactical aspects of the role.
• You will also work as a collaborative partner and resource to business leaders across the Americas and partner with the Corporate HR team on L&D, Compensation, H&S, etc.
