Immediate need for a Jr Millwright, based out of Brampton with one of Canadas largest and most respected paper and packaging companies.
 
We are seeking a Jr Maintenance Mechanic / Millwright (must hold a 433a license) for an immediate start.

This is a permanent, full time position, supporting the following hours of work:

8 Hour rotating shifts, rotating on a 2 week basis.

Days: 7am - 3pm
Afternoons: 3pm - 11pm
Evenings: 11pm - 7am

You will be responsible for preforming routine PM (Preventative Maintenance), troubleshooting equipment, repair of equipment, and optimizing safety, quality, efficiency, and reliability.

Your day to day would be:

Preforming PM, and troubleshooting / repairing equipment and machinery to optimize safety, and quality whilst increasing production efficiencies.

Visually and physically inspecting the equipment and machinery, and checking for the source of any problems that may occur in day to day operation

Keeping safety as your #1 priority, ensuring safe operation of all machinery and mechanical equipment.

Removing any defective parts; dismantling using both hand and power tools, hoists, cranes, etc.

Making any required repairs to machinery and equipment in a safe and efficient manner

Answering questions and requests regarding mechanical maintenance

Verifying that all work preformed is satisfactory, and complete
 
Qualifications
Requires a valid Industrial Maintenance Mechanic certificate (433A)

Proven experience within a manufacturing / industrial environment - 1 Year experience required

Welding experience - 1 year

Able to work rotating 8 hr shifts (2 weeks days, 2 weeks afternoons, 2 weeks nights) and overtime as required

Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, along with sound knowledge of technical standards and legislation.
