Description

Our client, a fashion company located in Rosemont – La Petite-Patrie, Montréal, is currently seeking a Controller to join their team.


This person’s responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Supervising accounts receivable and payable and all accounting related issues
  • Reviewing cash flow and bank reconciliation
  • Reviewing monthly GST/QST declaration
  • Month end closing and monthly consolidated financial statements
  • Year end audit file preparation and audit coordination
  • Foreign exchange contracts
  • Duty relief inventory and follow up with custom broker
  • Review all import and export entries, duty draw back claim’s management
  • Overlooking EDI transactions for invoicing
  • Intercompany transactions
  • Salesmen monthly commissions
  • Payroll, pay equity and year end payroll reporting, CNESST reporting
  • Investment portfolio data entry and reconciliation (Write-Up software)

Requested skills

Job Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or any other related degree;
  • Chartered Accountant Professional Designation (CPA) designation
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting in a supervisory role;
  • Fluently bilingual (French/English in spoken and written;
  • Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook);
  • Strong comprehension of business cycles

 

Our client is looking for a Controller who can set priorities to meet deadlines. This person must have good organizational skills and excellent problem-solving, communication and analytical skills.
