Description

This role supports Purolator’s national team, with a focus on Express and Freight asset coordination and direct customer support. The position is responsible for managing daily operational trailer asset requirements and supporting customers who ship truckload (TL) freight directly into our major distribution and sorting centers. It involves ensuring trailer availability, coordinating freight movement, responding to customer needs, and helping maintain efficient transportation operations across the network.

Responsibilities
  • Assist management with national asset readiness initiatives by identifying and implementing process improvements through audits, observations, follow-ups, root cause analysis, trend reporting, and compliance tracking across multiple locations.
  • Coordinate with external vendors to manage trailer pools across Purolator yards, ensuring timely trailer movement and supporting daily terminal asset requirements.
  • Monitor and report on operational data integrity within SAP TM, YMS, Geotab, and Cloudhawk systems to ensure accurate asset tracking and daily compliance reporting.
  • Review carrier action plans weekly to reduce empty trailer drops, improve yard efficiency, and maintain yard capacity and safety compliance standards.
  • Monitor KPIs related to trailer productivity, detention, and asset turnaround to support cost control and operational efficiency goals
  • Assist management with onboarding domestic TL customers by aligning operational processes with customer requirements and service expectations.
  • Coordinate with customer direct trips by creating and updating trip information while maintaining communication regarding operational requirements and timelines.
  • Participate in operational and customer meetings to support process development, implementation, and ongoing communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Investigate and support the resolution of operational discrepancies, disputes, and service issues by providing detailed analysis and background information.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3-5 years in transportation-Parcel/LTL/ TL Logistics experience
  • Knowledge of Purolator systems (CLI, Power BI, QlikView, SAP TM, Geotab, Cloudhawk, YMS) and other BI tools
  • Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Macros, Spreadsheets
  • Self-starter disposition and ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment Strong team player
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral & written
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams

Language Requirement: Proficiency in English is required for this position due to the frequent communications that must be conducted in English with various stakeholders. This requirement is justified by the nature of the responsibilities and operational needs.
