Description

Position: Manager Sales Ops

DESCRIPTION

Reporting to VP Sales, this is a unique opportunity for an experienced and hands-on sales operations manager to join a dynamic and entrepreneurial team in a newly formed position.

The candidate will be working very closely with the management team at Poka to provide strategic insight needed by the sales team to achieve sustainable growth. In this role the Sales Operations Manager will be responsible of sales performance improvement by identifying and addressing bottlenecks, supporting, enabling, and driving front line sales teams to sell better, faster, and more efficiently. To achieve that, the sales operations manager will work on streamlining process to speed up the sales cycle and enable sellers to close more deals through a consistent experience, actionable insights and smarter forecasting.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As part of the role, the selected candidate will (not limited to):
  • From annual operating plans, support Sales Leader in defining quarterly objectives; drive the team to hit key milestones to increase acquisition and activation of customers.
  • Execute financial analysis, build and help to standardize business forecasting and reporting for strategic analysis and internal business review
  • Support Sales Leader in weekly sales pipeline review meeting
  • Provides recommendations and take actions based on strategic objectives, forecast and performance metrics
  • Enhance sales productivity by enabling the team to work smarter and with better results by streamlining processes and evaluating/implementing supporting tools
  • Create, formalize and maintain documentation on sales process (tools, templates, workflows), policies and relevant training material and assist with on-boarding of new sales talents. Enforce processes and track adoption.
  • Identify and eliminates sales process bottlenecks and inconsistencies
  • Own the end-to-end process of tracking the sales funnel and operational metrics and delivering regular insights to the business, define and deliver techniques to improve funnel performance for sales management.
  • Manage Salesforce administration, development and projects prioritization.
  • Produce and review actionable and accurate sales and marketing reporting and BI tools for Account Managers, Account Executives, Partner Managers and VP Sales
  • Partner with Account Managers, Account Executives, Partner Managers and Marketing to refine lead qualification, analyze and report on campaign performances with reporting tools and dashboards
  • Lead team of inside sales (process, execution, performance) and drive acquisition of SQLs that feed Account Managers and Account Executives
  • Organize and drive Account Planning with Account Managers and Sales Leader
  • Lead proposal process and support preparation up to closing stage in systems
  • Coordinates contract activity and manage contract lifecycle
  • Provide from time to time support to management in the areas of
  • Organizing team communication and collaboration channels
  • developing sales incentive programs and compensation planning in order to increase sales productivity
  • Refining Customer Segmentation, assist with account assignment, territory definition and help create a process to enhance renewal and drive upsell.
  • Implementing sales spiff programs by updating performance, reporting, communication to drive success.

  • Ability to understand high-level sales strategies, translate them into systems and process requirement, and ensure execution and business impact
  • Proven Salesforce subject matter expert with experience creating reports, optimizing processes, training new hires, managing dashboard and more
  • Demonstrated success in sales ops, business ops or a similar role
  • Analytical and demonstrated ability to extract key business insights through data analysis
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks;proven strong organizational and project management skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Track record in challenging the status quo, driving change through innovative thinking and removing hurdles in fast growth organization by working cross-functionally with Marketing, Finances, Legal and Corporate Strategy. Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (French and English), including presenting to C-Level executive
  • Experience with visual analysis applications and sales intelligence software
  • Advanced SalesForce understanding, use of intelligent Excel/Google sheet, other CRM applications and marketing strategies for business intelligence and analytics
  • Startup experience preferable; Entrepreneurial mindset with hands-on experience, a plus
  • Tons of energy and passion, motivated and enthusiastic who can work well under autonomy and team player that wants to help others and win together.Confident, positive, flexible and willing to get involved

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor degree in a technical or business related field, preference for background in economics, finances or statistics
  • Demonstrated experience in Sales Operations Management (+5 years relevant experience as a minimum)
  • Experience in management sales operations in both direct and indirect sales models in a Software Selling organization. SaaS as a plus.
  • Deep experience in SalesForce, experience implementing partner management tool as a strong plus
  • Experience in coordinating strategic planning and annual operating plans
  • Strong forecasting and pipeline management skills with strong financial and sales execution background
