We are seeking a self-motivated Full-stack engineer, who is obsessed with delivering value, is forward-thinking, and is excited to be a part of the digital transformation in Individual insurance unit.

As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will:

  • Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and operations engineers to uncover pain points and opportunities to deliver new business value through software

  • Promoting Agile principles and participating in agile way of working

  • Prototype and build new functionality to deliver on key product objectives

  • Deliver an exceptional user experience to our customers, through the delivery of products and services with strong and extendable architectural design

  • Maintain and support these services, with accountability for production reliability and usage, and the delivery of new functionality

  • Assisting in the development of automated test harnesses as necessary to ensure delivery of high-quality code

  • Contribute to Business Unit initiatives in developing and maintaining standards and methodologies

You will bring and continuously build upon the following skills:

  • Experience in IT for at least 6 years with 2 or more years in a similar position

  • Solid hands-on experience in React, Node.js, Express, GraphQL, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3 (must have)

  • Experience in designing React Component with Redux that is reusable, efficient and easy to maintain; Knowledge of React server-side rendering

  • Familiarity with agile and DevOps principles, test-driven development, continuous integration, and other approaches to accelerate the delivery of new features

  • Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins

  • Experience in test frameworks such as TestNG, Selenium etc. and knowledge of test-driven development

  • An entrepreneurial spirit and comfort working within a rapidly changing startup environment; you love the challenge of working on a small team and being part of a larger movement to change the engineering culture of an enterprise

  • Experimenting with emerging technologies and understanding how they will impact what comes next

  • A capacity for constant learning from both success and failure, remaining open to change and continuous improvement

  • Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to effectively articulate and communicate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes across all levels in the organization

  • Understanding of the fundamentals of insurance products, securities and/or financial services in support of our service or product offerings (or are ready to learn by doing!)
