About the Role

Co-Ex-Tec is looking for a high-energy, accounting and finance oriented individual to join the accounting team as Accounts Payable Clerk. As the Accounting Supervisor’s go-to person, s/he will provide day-to-day financial support for the company in accordance with the Magna Exteriors’ established policies and procedures in order to maintain the integrity of all financial information. The successful candidate is a self-starter who is detailed oriented and unafraid of working with high volume of data.

Your Responsibilities
  1. Processes A/P invoices by matching invoicing with packing slips and purchase orders and analyzing invoicing/expenses detail to ensure expenses are charged to the appropriate cost centres/GL account

  2. Ensures appropriate purchase order support and invoicing sign-off is obtained to facilitate vendor payment. Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances

  3. Process and administer manual check releases to supplier payments. Investigate and problem solve invoice discrepancies/ respond to supplier inquiries in a timely manner

  4. Prepare month-end accruals; prepare bank deposits; process CRW’s (Cost Recovery Worksheets) within internal Magna application (QPF). Perform detailed tracking of D&E departmental contractor cost and Quality departmental invoicing

  5. Participates in the overall month-end close process pertaining to assigned accounts payable vendors, inclusive of intercompany payable balances. Support the year-end closing process, which entails the preparation of the assigned financial sections relating to the year-end external audit file.

  6. Involvement in an ERP transition from Trans4M to SAP, as applicable to AP

Who we are looking for
  • Post Secondary Degree/Diploma in the field of accounting and/or finance required

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (relevant co-op experience can be included)

  • Detail oriented individual with a desire to hone his/her analytical skills and an affinity to work with high volume of data

  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP fully integrated systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint

  • Prior experience with the Trans4M/CMI/SAP ERP system considered an asset
