Our expectations
The primary purpose of this role is to serve as a senior within the Lowe's Information Security team. This includes responsibility for developing and executing strategies and plans for the global enterprise cyber security program.
The incumbent will lead the implementation of major programs in support of large, complex initiatives that enable key business and technology strategies and programs with enterprise impact.
The Senior Director, Information Security, oversees all activities including planning, strategy, architecture, program execution, engineering, and service operations for identity and access management, security engineering and operations, vulnerability management, governance, risk management, compliance, and security awareness.
In addition, this role provides critical input into the long-term strategy for technology security across all domains and platforms.

Your role
Work closely with the Vice-President Information Security in USA, IT team and Business Executives to create and manage programs, budgets, and services that directly enable business and technology goals
Establish information security controls framework for risk and vulnerability management
Provide technical expertise and guide the administration of security tools that controls and monitors information security
Serve as a general and domain-specific expert and advisor to the VP and senior leaders on security matters
Develop strategies, policies, and plans to drive effective acquisition, implementation, maintenance, and use of information technology resources
Develop and drive overall plans and strategies for providing appropriate and timely information security-related training and support to technology users throughout the company
Provide strategic direction to drive successful implementation and maintenance of coordinated enterprise-level security programs
Oversee the development and implementation of a large portfolio of information security projects to ensure strong governance across Information Security at Lowe’s
Oversee and provide expert-level insight into the development, documentation, and maintenance of information security policies, procedures, and standards
Create a culture that understands and values the critical importance of protecting the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information in the custody of, or processed by, the company
Lead the development of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) for measurement of compliance with information security management and drive ongoing and accurate reporting against established OKRs
Partner with architecture and engineering leadership to drive solution designs that ensure that assets are appropriately secure at all times
Oversee and provide expert insight on the process of investigating security exceptions and incidents, reviewing violation reports, performing internal investigations, and developing and performing risk analysis scenarios to test the systems and networks
Oversee and provide expert insight on the process of evaluating and analyzing new security issues, software, and/or policies to ensure integrity and safe operation of systems and networks
Drive ongoing and efficient collaborations with technical teams to identify, resolve, and mitigate information security risk findings
Establish a compelling vision for the function (including teams dispersed globally between the US and India) by assessing the technology landscape and anticipating business needs; and defining clear roadmaps that align to this vision and support the overall technology strategy
Obtain, organize, and align resources (including global resources) to achieve multiple business objectives tied directly to technology and organizational strategies
Encourage and facilitate successful cross-functional collaborations throughout the team; maintain strong relationships with other technology areas to make sure compatible directions and goals are set and that the security posture is optimized
Provide leadership to the team by attracting and hiring talented individuals, setting goals and communicating clear expectations, providing timely and constructive feedback as well as meaningful developmental opportunities, managing performance, providing resources and support as needed, and sponsoring and leading team members through changes
Monitor the industry for developments in technology security and evaluate new tools and security frameworks for potential implementation
Ensure meaningful development opportunities for individuals in the organization so that the right people are developed and prepared for succession opportunities
Communicate key updates to technology senior leadership to ensure that function initiatives are aligned with company strategies

Job Requirements

The qualifications we are looking for
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Computer Science, CIS, Engineering, Business Administration, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent work or military experience in a related field)
12 years Experience in a combination of risk management, security, compliance, and Information Technology
7 years Leadership experience with direct reports
8 years Experience with information security tools, concepts, and practices
Familiarity with multi-platform technology environments and their operational/security considerations
Strong project management skills, with experience in managing resources to meet goals on simultaneous/multiple projects
IT experience in the retail industry
Relevant information security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, PCI ISA, CRISC, CISA, OSCP, GPen)
Experience in a PCI/Retail technology environment
5 yearsSenior management experience
Experience managing in an Agile environment
Experience leading global teams
Experience with process management methodologies such as Six Sigma or ITIL Delivery methodologies (Agile, Scrum, SAFe)
* Broad knowledge of infrastructure (network and servers), network architecture, services, and security policies
