Associate, Financial Due Diligence - Transaction Services

We offer our clients start-to-finish support in the acquisition process, including input on strategy, early identification of risk areas, coordination and execution of due diligence investigations (financial and commercial) and input and advise on contract terms geared to reduce risks. We also get involved in assisting our clients with a host of services surrounding closing the transaction and post-deal integration. Our Deal Advisory team includes the following service lines: Transaction Services, Valuations, Corporate Finance, Restructuring & Turnaround, and Infrastructure Advisory. Learn more Transaction Services, Deal Advisory - KPMG Overview of the opportunity: Within our KPMG's Transaction Services practice, our professionals provide financial due diligence services on behalf of our clients to help them drive value from mergers and acquisitions (M&A) with a forward-thinking approach to deal planning. We currently have openings at the at the Associate level. What you will do Working in multi-disciplinary teams, you will apply your professional and technical skills on a wide variety of transactions and at different stages of the transaction cycle: Evaluate a business’ historical performance and sustainability of earnings/cash flows, working capital cycles, financial projections, key contractual commitments, accounting policies and management control environment Identify and report key issues, perform the relevant financial analysis, and interpret results Undertake smaller assignments or assist on larger assignments reporting to a manager, senior manager, or a partner Participate in KPMG’s engagement teams with senior client executives, attorneys, and investors Write detailed professional reports and other client deliverables Establish credibility and develop relationships with current and prospective clients Provide support/assistance for proposals Contribute to the effective working of the team and development of team moral Occasionally support one of our other business units in a cross-functional role (e.g. Valuations, Corporate Finance, Restructuring, Global Infrastructure Advisory Group, etc.) What you bring to the role Working towards a professional designation (CPA, CA); with experience in either Audit or Transaction Services Financial and commercial awareness with strong analytical skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Above-average proficiency using Microsoft Excel Willingness and ability to travel as required Ability to speak other languages is an asset (Mandarin, French, Spanish, etc.) Keys to your success Highly motivated, committed, and flexible to cope with changing priorities and strict deadlines Skilled in building a network and effective working relationships internally and externally Motivated to learn and succeed in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment is essential Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Learn more about where a career at KPMG can take you. #LI-ET1 Our Values, The KPMG Way Integrity, we do what is right | Excellence, we never stop learning and improving | Courage, we think and act boldly | Together, we respect each other and draw strength from our differences | For Better, we do what matters KPMG is committed to the health and safety of our people, clients and communities.
