Reporting to the President, KMBS Canada, the role is responsible for the implementation of the marketing strategies, product and market research, leasing along with supporting learning & development initiatives. The role is responsible for providing programs to optimize our sales revenue in all our targeted channels and markets. This role has a significant impact on our short and long term goals by supporting initiatives aligned with our corporate vision.



What You'll Be Doing

Strategic Planning

  • Participate in the formulation of long and short terms marketing plans including unit and revenue budgeting
  • Partner with sales operations, sales and other businesses at strategic and tactical levels for strategic planning, messaging, and project execution
  • Develop and manage annual marketing budget
  • Working with BLI, IDC, Gartner, D&B and others provide market share analysis and market opportunities
  • Lead and evaluate market research and competitive analysis
  • Formulate and implement the marketing policies and objectives within the company 


Channel Marketing

  • Develop and execute channel strategies and incentive programs to support sales
  • Liaise with BUS to ensure alignment with programs, initiatives and best practices
  • Work closely with product marketing and sales groups to maximize the product offerings and create compelling value propositions
  • Develop campaigns to increase field activities
  • Working with Product Management, develop launch and end of life strategies
  • Develop Channel enablement tools and field education to improve channel effectiveness
  • Create and develop strategies for promoting and selling products or services 


Product marketing

  • Manage produce lines including hardware, software and professional services 
  • Manage vendor and partner relationships including pricing 
  • Lead the product launch process including presentations and product specific sales training


RFP, proposal and bid desk pricing

  • Provide strategic direction and oversight to the National Proposal Office (NPO) including:
    1. RFP support, project management and fulfillment of in-scope RFP projects
    2. Contract review, negotiation and risk management for direct sales channel
    3. Pricing requirements for the NPO, Large Opportunities and special pricing requests 


Other Duties/Projects

  • Ensure leasing strategies are aligned with business objectives
  • Supporting learning & development initiatives 
  • Coordinate and collaborate with cross-functional department teams
  • Participate in conferences, national and international fairs and other marketing related events 
  • Maintain long term relationships with business partners
  • As assigned

What You Need

  • Bilinguism is preferred
  • University degree in business, marketing or related program (or commensurate related experience)
  • 10 years + experience as a leader in sales/marketing for a large business technology company
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of the industry
  • Excellent financial, strategic planning and organizational abilities
  • Proven experience in team management and budget management
  • Prior experience in managing a marketing department and budget in a large sales organization.
  • Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem solving environment
  • Proficient in MS Office suite and other related software
