The Key Account Manager for our Van Houtte Coffee Services division is responsible for maintaining and managing client relationships within a set portfolio of key customer accounts.  He/She is also responsible for managing program execution and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction is provided and maintained with their client group.  Direct Liasion with National Team for National account setup and development

The Key Account Manager identifies growth opportunities within their account portfolio and monitors the return on Keurig’s investment.


  • Identify key decision maker(s) in existing accounts; 

  • Work to establish, build and maintain strong relationships with them; 

  • Understand the program objectives for each client; 

  • Generate and analyze pricing/sales/consumption reports on accounts in order to make recommendations to key account decision makers to help them better manage their coffee programs; 

  • Generate and analyze account information on the financial health of these accounts to ensure VH’s interests are being protected i.e. GP margins and ROI; 

  • Carry out regular face-to-face business reviews with key decision makers;

  • Communicate program changes to concerned parties 

  • Manage all aspects of pricing related to the portfolio including implementing new pricing structures, setting up and monitoring centralized billing arrangements, product lines etc.; 

  • Identify pricing and/or program inconsistencies and work to consolidate and simplify the program to establish mutually beneficial agreements with our clients; 

  • Consult and communicate regularly with Sales Manager   and Coffee Services customer service teams to ensure mutual awareness of any potential issue that may impact the customer satisfaction levels and/or our ability to deliver on service level commitments being made; 

  • Communicate regularly with Sales Managers and Customer Service teams to keep them aware and informed of the portfolio accounts and encourage a regional rather than local perspective on said accounts.

  • Bachelor in Commerce or relevant field of study

  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role (asset) 

  • Experience in managing large accounts.


  • Ability to travel within assigned region

  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to build and grow relationships 

  • Strong analytical ability and sound financial understanding

  • Well Developed business acumen

  • Strong communication skill set.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
