QUALITY ASSURANCE TECHNICIAN - SUMMER 2021

At Irving Personal Care, we recognize that the key to our success is our people. Irving Personal Care is the only manufacturer of baby diapers and training pants in Canada. Our plant uses state-of-the-art equipment and technology to produce premium quality products for major North American retailers and online customers.

We currently have an opportunity within our operation for a Quality Technician summer student. Reporting to the Quality Leader, the Quality Technician summer student’s primary function is supporting both the quality and production departments with product quality testing.

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in Engineering Degree :ChemicalEngineering ispreferred.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Willingness to work in a team environment

  • Advanced Excel skills and competency with other Microsoft Office programs

  • Ability to prioritize work, follow through and gain results

  • Analytical, organized and detail oriented

  • Self-starter who takes action and does not require close supervision

  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced, dynamic environment

  • Demonstrate good judgement with proficient decision-making and problem-solving skills

  • Must be willing to do shift work (days, nights and weekends)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist operating teams in the constant monitoring of product specifications. This includes daily routine testing

  • Support development trials and non-routine testing

  • Prepare product and materials samples
