Position Summary
Permanent MLT position available at the Penticton Regional Hospital. This is a 0.8fte position that floats between Histology and the Core Lab and the rotation includes day, evening and night shifts.

Penticton Regional Hospital (PRH) is a referral centre for three community hospitals and one diagnostic centre in the South Okanagan. Our Emergency department sees upwards of 36,000 visits annually and we have 129 acute beds and 102 extended care beds and offer a full range of health services to the community.

Med Lab Technologist typical duties include routine and/or complex tests utilizing manual procedures and automated instruments, collecting and/or receiving specimens, entering data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS), validating/reporting test results, maintaining instruments and preparing solutions and control agents.

Qualifications

Graduation from an approved Medical Laboratory Science Program
Current certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) and eligible for membership with the BC Society of Laboratory Sciences (BCSLS) and/or CSMLS
One (1) year recent related experience
