Position Summary
Join our cohesive team in East Kootenay Regional Hospital’s Emergency Department!

EKRH is located in Cranbrook, British Columbia where we provide hospital services to residents of the East Kootenay Health Service Area and care for over 80,000 patients a year. Our Emergency Department has a 16 bed ER including a Trauma room. CTAS scores from 1-5 and our patients range from walking wounded to trauma, pediatrics and psychiatric. Our ED works in conjunction with the High Acuity Response Team and outlying facilities in both receive and transfer patients. We have a helicopter pad on site with frequent transfers with STARS (Alberta Flight).

This is a relief full time until December 2, 2022 or return of incumbent. This position works days and nights rotating 12 hours shifts.

We are fortunate to have a staff that is very diverse in age, experience, background, interests and we are a very supportive team. Our staff is comprised of 15 RNs, 4 LPNs, a Porter, and 6 full time ER physicians.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

• Advanced preparation in an Emergency clinical specialty or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within 3 years.
