Description
Join a team that designs, develops and integrates highly complex systems for space within Honeywell Aerospace. As the Satellite Integration and Test Lead, you will lead a cross-functional team of Mechanical, Electrical, Attitude Orbit Control and System engineers in the initial integration and test of a Satellite Integrated Attitude and Orbital Control System (AOCS) and then support production of that integrated satellite assembly for a constellation of satellites. The Integrated AOCS consists of vehicle sensors (e.g. Star Trackers, Sun Sensors, Rate Gyros, Magnetometers, GPS, etc.) On-Board Computers, actuators (e.g. Reaction Wheel Assemblies, Torque Rods, etc.) and associated software.
JOB ACTIVITIES
· Direct and generate manufacturing, assembly, integration and test plan and procedures for the integrated AOCS,
· Identify critical GSE, scheduling and budgeting (TBC)
· Direct integration and test activities for the Integrated AOCS
· Direct Integrated AOCS verification and environmental qualification
· Determining required test facilities
· Delivery of Integrated AOCS test benches & simulators to the Factory
· Delivery of Integrated AOCS test benches & simulators to the Customer
· Assignment of resource for Vehicle Integration and Factory Support and On-Orbital Support
· Creation and execution of Engineering Capital Plan
· Supporting proposals, costing and planning of projects
· Moderate travel to customer, Honeywell and subcontractor sites expected (local and international)
· The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP clearance.
YOU MUST HAVE
· Technical degree/diploma
· Minimum 7 years experience in an assembly, integration and test role within Space or other Hi-Reliability industry
· Minimum 7 years of experience with NASA/ECSS/CSA and/or NewSpace satellite verification and validation standards

· Mechanical and Thermal testing on Satellite system
· Satellite system testing
· Experience working both independently and as team leader in a hands-on role in space product integration and test.
· Experience with electrical, mechanical design, industrial design, clean room work
· Experience with integrated AOCS testing
· Passion to develop solutions and trouble shoot problems.
· Developing software and hardware for space and similar harsh environments.
· Electrical hardware and test equipment design, build and test experience
· Environmental testing experience (TVAC, Vibration, Shock, EMI, EMC, Mechanical properties, Radiation).
· SAP or similar business software
· Team Center or similar PDM experience
