ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the Manager-Montréal and in collaboration with other members of the team, you participate in operations involving blood donor qualification and collecting blood donations.

More specifically, you:
Participate in setting up and dismantling the blood drives;
Review and fill out the qualification questionnaire with the donor;
Take the donor’s vital signs;
Collect blood donations;
Intervene in the event of discomfort;
Perform tasks related to apheresis and other special donations in the GLOBULE Blood Donor Centres;
Transition donors to collect needed blood components (plasma, platelets and others).

REQUIREMENTS:
Hold a college diploma in nursing care;
Be a member in good standing of the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ);
Be familiar with various computer tools and software;
Have an excellent command of French and English;
Be able to handle loads;
Pass a medical examination;
Have good dexterity and rapid execution;
Be available a minimum of three days a week (including Monday and/or Friday based on the department’s needs), as well as one weekend out of two.
