ROLE AND RESPONSABILITIES:
Reporting to the Manager-Montréal and in collaboration with other members of the team, you participate in operations involving blood donor qualification and collecting blood donations.
More specifically, you:
Participate in setting up and dismantling the blood drives;
Review and fill out the qualification questionnaire with the donor;
Take the donor’s vital signs;
Collect blood donations;
Intervene in the event of discomfort;
Perform tasks related to apheresis and other special donations in the GLOBULE Blood Donor Centres;
Transition donors to collect needed blood components (plasma, platelets and others).
Hold a professional diploma in health, assistance and nursing care (SASI) or a college diploma in nursing care;
Be a member in good standing of the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers auxiliaires du Québec (OIIAQ) with skill in drawing blood or of the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ);
Be familiar with various computer tools and software;
Have a good command of French and English;
Be able to handle loads;
Pass a medical examination;
Have good dexterity and rapid execution;
Be available a minimum of three days a week (including a Monday and/or Friday based on the department’s needs), as well as one weekend out of two.
Excellent approach to customer service;
Excel as a team player.
Additional information :
• Flexible schedule (day, evening and weekend);
• Be able to work in our Montréal (Saint-Laurent Borough) and Brossard facilities.
