ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the Head of Business Partners - Management Accounting, you act as a business partner, in cooperation with your Head, to support the clients of the business lines assigned to you. You play an advisory role with internal clients pertaining to financial performance management. You act as a contact person and support the branch teams in carrying out their business plan and in their decision-making.

Specifically, you:

•Participate in all stages of the budget preparation and monitoring process for your assigned business lines and cooperate in developing presentations;
•Produce monthly management accounting reports, analyze variances and ensure that results are submitted to managers;
•Actively participate in the development of tools for supporting the budget process and the analysis of monthly variances;
•Prepare monthly projections with the manager and make recommendations for improving efficiency;
•Work together with managers to define and generate operational indicators;
•Be involved in the development of costs and rates for your assigned business lines and do variance analyses;
•Prepare business cases and do follow-up;
•Along with the management accounting team, be involved in improving existing processes and methods and make recommendations.

REQUIREMENTS

•Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration;
•At least 5 years of relevant experience including experience as a business partner;
•A professional accounting designation (CPA);
•Good knowledge of management accounting concepts;
•Experience in the pharmaceutical field will be considered a major asset;
•Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel) and knowledge of integrated management systems (SAP is an asset).
•Fluent in French, both oral and written;
•Good knowledge of English, both oral and written.
