Job Description

The Accounting Lead, Financial Services is accountable for the efficient, timely and accurate provision of financial services to the Saskatchewan Health Authority SHA(Saskatoon), its affiliates and the Royal University, Saskatoon City and St. Pauls Hospital Foundations. The incumbent is responsible for supervising, directing and auditing the day to day financial operations of the Financial Services department in order to ensure the highest quality processing of information required for the preparation of timely and accurate financial and statistical information. This position provides strategic direction and business planning expertise. The Accounting Lead, Financial Services creates and sustains a workplace environment that fosters respect, builds trust and open communication, as well as promotes learning and growth.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license
  • Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation under any of the legacy designations (Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Certified General Accountant (CGA))
  • Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience
5+ years in a leadership position with progressive advancement
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Knowledge of the healthcare system in Saskatchewan
  • Has demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to coach and develop others
