Description

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot software and hardware.
  • Manage backups for software, databases, and network storage.
  • Manage the network including firewalls and switches.
  • Manage and configure Active Directory users, printers, computers, and servers.
  • Administer and maintain end user accounts and access rights.
  • Provide Help Desk support, answer e-mails and other queries in all areas of computer and communication issues.
  • Monitor security logs from various devices including servers.
  • Research and apply patches to all software packages.
  • Write documentation for departmental procedures, policies and processes.
  • Participate in important technological department projects.
  • Provide suggestions for continual improvement of I/T operations and effectively provide proactive communications to management.

Work environment

Requested skills

  • College Diploma or equivalent in Computer Science
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience with PCs and network environments.
  • Experience and knowledge within a Windows environment using MS Exchange, IIS, DHCP, Wins and DNS, MS SharePoint, WSUS, Active Directory, MDM software, mobile operating systems and VoIP technologies.
  • Virtual Machine management experience including Hyper-V and VMWare.
  • Experience with Windows 2008/2012/2016/2019 servers.
  • Knowledge of network protocols, network management systems and LAN and WAN methods.
  • Experience or certification in cybersecurity is an asset.
  • Exposure to SAAS or cloud-based computing is an asset.
  • Microsoft Certification is an asset.
  • Bilingualism (French/English).
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proactive, responsive, flexible, and self–reliant.
  • Able to lift and maneuver heavy equipment as needed.
