Regional Director, Long Term Care Operations

Reporting to the Vice President Long Term Care Operations, as a Regional Director, Long Term Care Operations you will be accountable for overseeing all phases of Long-term care home operations in assigned region. You will also be responsible for creating a regional culture of quality improvement and customer service by mentoring leadership teams, driving innovation and removing barriers to success.

You will be account for:

  • Developing regional and home-specific goals and objectives while ensuring consistency and alignment to organizational strategy. Regularly reviews progress towards goals and objectives achievement
  • Achieving financial goals while providing highest levels of customer service and satisfaction
  • Meets regularly with home leadership in assigned region, including reviewing and touring homes and facilities
  • Mitigating and supporting risk management
  • Monitoring and providing operational support including, labour relations, occupational health and safety, finance, quality improvement and customer service and satisfaction
  • Driving performance beyond minimum standards to ensure quality of customer experience
  • Communicating effectively and frequently to improve engagement
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and takes on new initiatives and challenges
  • Building strong teams through talent identification, coaching and providing development opportunities
  • Leading and supporting various regional, national or special projects

 

What you bring:

  • Post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or related field
  • Minimum five years progressive management experience in long-term care or health care sector
  • Knowledge of provincial continuing care governance/systems required
  • Effective communicator and collaborator
  • Ability to collect and leverages data and metrics to make objective, informed business decisions
  • Customer-service mindset with ability to understand, anticipate and identify customer needs
  • Independent self-starter who proactively seeks information from various sources
  • Proven coaching and mentoring skills and enabler of learning
  • Superb organization, planning, time management and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability and flexibility to travel extensively throughout assigned region
