Description

Role:

Act as main contact person between mining customers, SMS and the manufacturers, for the operational activities of SMS Equipment in mining projects.


  • –Follow up on all technical issues and bring them to the manufacturer and other SMS process owners involved in the management of mining customers’ fleets.
  • –Review workload related to the Planned Component Replacement and any quoted jobs on-going or forecasted.
  • –Reconcile and sign off on fleet availability and cost cap reports.
  • –Conduct regular follow up meetings on technical, commercial and parts inventory issues
  • –Update the parts log and distribute to participants and other stakeholders.
  • –Assist service department in preparing service quotes and explaining to customers.

Qualifications

  • –College Degree with at least 5 to 10 years of experience in heavy duty equipment or equivalent experience. Mining equipment experience will be an asset.
  • –Excellent negotiation skills focused on results.
  • –Very good interpersonal skills and strong leadership skills.
  • –Ability to present ideas to peers, teammates, managers and senior management to particular client.
  • –Proven ability to solve problems. Strong organizational skills.
  • –Computer literate in Microsoft Office. Good understanding of Excel, Power Point and Word. Knowledge of Microsoft Access would be an asset.
  • –The person must be bilingual (spoken and written French and English).
