Position Description

We currently have an exciting role for a Driver – Front Load (FL), Automated Side Load (ASL), and Roll Off (RO) for various routes around central Alberta, located out of Calahoo, AB area.

Position Responsibilities

• Safely operate and drive a Front Load, Automated Side Load and Roll Off waste truck.
• Perform pickups and drop offs in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle systems and equipment such as tires, lights and brakes, etc.
• Safely operate and maintain company vehicles, ensuring timely arrivals and departures to project sites.
• Plan and organize efficient routes to optimize delivery for installation schedules.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to regulations.
• Help maintain equipment i.e., fix small damages on site, reporting larger damages as needed
• Plan your trip according to the weather conditions.
• Follow safety procedures for transporting materials.
• Additional duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Class 3 license with air brake endorsement
• 3 - 5 years Commercial driving experience
• Clean drivers abstract, and clean criminal search.
• Experience with Commercial vehicle operation, Front Load, Automated Side Load and Roll Off trucks is an asset.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Physically capable of manual labor, lifting, and working in outdoor conditions.
• Customer-focused with meticulous attention to detail.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment testing including D&A testing
• Ability to adapt to changing project demands and work effectively under pressure.
