Professional specialized in comminution, you work within a multidisciplinary team in the area of minerallurgical processes development. You act as a project manager and researcher on projects related to the optimization and the development of alternative technologies for:
- Ore grindability measurement;
- Grinding products classification;
- Ore crushing and primary grinding;
- Regrinding of selected process flows;
- Methods to minimize fines production in these processes.
By designing and developing modifications to processes already in place, improved operation modes or new on-line optimization tools, you take part in developing, adapting and implementing innovative and more efficient methods.
Through your knowledge of grinding technologies and mining operations, you participate in the identification of R&D opportunities as well as in the orientation and the improvement of COREM's comminution research program. You assume all tasks related to the realization of projects, both in research and on a contractual basis, within multidisciplinary teams. As such, you analyze the client’s needs, identify technological challenges to take on and the expected benefits, develop solutions and implement the results.
You write technical reports and present the results to the members and clients of COREM.
You know and apply R&D planning as well as project management techniques (work planning, budgeting, scheduling, reporting, supervising and training human resources, etc.).

You hold a master’s degree in applied sciences (metallurgical engineering, mechanical engineering, physical engineering) with, preferably, a specialization in grinding. You have a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience.
You have strong capacities in project management and in problem solving; you are self-disciplined and you have good skills at summarizing facts.
You master French and English, orally and in writing, and you are able to present a complex technical content.
Self-sufficiency, curiosity, creativity, drive, initiative, leadership and facility in working in a multidisciplinary team are all qualities needed to succeed in this job.
