Job scope

Are you passionate about the creation and complete production of analytical panels? Join our team as a panel assembler Team Lead and meet the challenges of building and testing custom-designed analytical systems according to customer specifications and technical drawings.

Specific Responsibilities

Team Lead:

    • Support a small team of assemblers in the construction of customized analytical systems.
    • Interface with systems engineers and procurement teams for component installation.
    • Interpret electrical, mechanical and flow assembly drawings.
    • Plan and optimize assembly operations.
    • Ensure the management of parts inventories
Panel Assembly
  • Perform assembly/fabrication tasks such as: assemble mechanical/electrical components, perform panel wiring and cabling, perform tube bending on gas/pneumatic assemblies, and perform light fabrication work on metal and non-metallic enclosures.
  • Track and document production changes(Redline drawings, Engineering change-orders)
  • Perform design validation with support from engineering and business partners and technical leads.
  • Work with inspectors for third party certifications( ordinary and hazardous locations)

Requirements

  • Completed Post-Secondary education in an electro-mechanical field.
  • A minimum of 3-years’ experience in electrical or mechanical assembly or a related technical field.
  • Concrete experience of manufacturing and assembly of electro-mechanical systems.
  • English and French both written and spoken.
Assets
  • Past experience with Sampling Systems (Gas and Liquid)
  • Experience with constructions and assembly of systems used in hazardous locations (Class I Div./Zone 1&2, IECEx).
  • Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and best wiring practices.
  • Experience with Schneider and Allen-Bradley Controllers (PLCs) / Operator Interfaces (HMIs).

  • Ability to work with conflicting priorities.
