The Technical Services Representative plays a key role to our organization’s success.Responsibilities Deployment of desktops and peripherals following deployment documentation and checklists Perform complex hardware and/or software upgrades to existing equipment
Perform network connections for desktops and printers
Perform troubleshooting to determine and resolve the root cause of most hardware or software malfunctions at the desktop level Perform hand and eyes support for both server and network technologies Perform end Radio Configuration and deployment
Perform complex moves, adds, changes of computer equipment
Understanding of Deployment Guidelines
Outsourcing to client sites
Sonim phones - programming android based phone to deploy to users, and supporting the Sonim phones (e.g. apps, connection issues quality issues etc.. DevOMS (task management software) - supporting connection issues, desktop issues, Displays, mounting displays. LTE Network - Troubleshooting, testing cables (software to use for testing the LTE cables), signal tests, sight surveys for signal strength. Desk side support for end users for any PC or software issues. Network switches - Racking, Cabling, tracing, mounting Wireless AP's, troubleshooting. Motorola radios - Troubleshooting, hand them out, replacing Mobile support - Android Tablets, iPads, iPhones, Panasonic Toughbooks. IP Phones - Programming and replacing Inventory - Keeping track of Inventory onsite (Cables, network switches, Access Points, Underground Access points. Monitoring incoming tickets in our Remedy ticketing system. Qualifications College or University education in Electronics or Computer Science A+ Certification and MCP an asset
Two (2) years of related job experience
Experience with two Operating Systems
Good written and verbal communication skills
A sense of urgency to complete tasks and assignments
Ability to diffuse tense customer situations and project a positive, confident outlook
High level of integrity and honesty
Ability to take direction and follow practices and procedures consistently and accurately
Good time management skills
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Experience with a desktop productivity suite Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle and a clear driving record abstract is required
Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 lbs. on a regular basis You will be required to work Underground as this is a remote Mine Sites Be available for regular work assignments during evenings and weekends or out of town 7X24 on-call is a requirement for this role Night shift position 12 hour days, currently 9am - 9pm with on call support after 9pm (at any point in time at the customers request this could go back to 6pm - 6am shift with no on call support). Work rotation is 2 weeks in 2 weeks out fly in rotation including weekends.
