MS 365 Technical Architect

Position Description:

The Microsoft 365 technical architect will work with a remote team in Canada conducting several Microsoft 365 migration projects around the world.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Analyze and assess the current state of on-premise technologies (Exchange, SharePoint, Active Directory, Skype, etc.)
• Design and document the Microsoft 365 migration solution architecture
• Develop and document Microsoft 365 migration strategies
• Develop and document the security architecture for Microsoft 365 tenants and services
• Design and document the Microsoft cloud authentication architecture
• Support technical analysts during the configuration of Microsoft 365 tenants and services
• Support technical analysts as they complete data migration proofs of concept
• Support Microsoft 365 change management specialists
• Train administrators in Microsoft 365 service management best practices

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Successfully graduated from a computer science or information technology-related program at a post-secondary institution
• 8+ years of experience in IT environments working primarily with Microsoft technologies
• 3+ years as a technical architect
• Experience in designing/analyzing Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Yammer, Planner, Teams, OneDrive, etc.)
• Good knowledge of Active Directory, AAD-Connect, ADFS, MFA
• Good knowledge of Windows operating systems (workstations and servers)
• Basic knowledge in networks (DNS, DHCP, etc.)
• Nice to have: Experience in Citrix environments
• Be familiar with incident management and problem management processes (ITIL)
• Nice to have: Industry-recognized Microsoft professional certifications
• Strong initiative, team spirit and interpersonal skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Nice to have: French oral communication skills.
• Be patient and customer service-oriented
• Be detail-oriented and committed to delivering quality results
• Be flexible and able to adapt to change quickly
