About this opportunity:

The Conventional Operations Team is seeking a Calgary-based Facilities Engineer to support our conventional business. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Process & Facilities, this dynamic and technically focused role is responsible for the execution of both small-scale MOC projects and medium infrastructure and debottlenecking initiatives. The successful candidate will help deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective engineering solutions while working closely with engineering, construction, maintenance, and operations personnel.

What you’ll do:

  • Troubleshoot operational issues and deliver practical, innovative solutions.

  • Take accountability for technical problem-solving and coordinate additional engineering support as needed.

  • Lead MOC, infrastructure, and debottlenecking projects from concept through execution.

  • Own mechanical P&ID mark-ups and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards (e.g., ASME B31.1, ASME B31.3, CSA Z662, API).

  • Drive projects end-to-end, making timely technical decisions and implementing efficiently and collaborate with Operations and Engineering to align on project goals and execution strategies.

  • Support facility optimization, including compression systems and process improvements.

  • Oversee project scoping, design, cost estimating, and economic analysis for assigned facilities. Prepare and present project justifications to ensure alignment with corporate priorities.

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

  • Professional Engineer registered with APEGA

  • Minimum 4+ years of relevant operations & facility and engineering experience.

  • Knowledge and application of frequently used codes (ASME B31.3, CSA Z662 etc.)

  • Working knowledge of upstream oil and gas industry and facility design

  • Strong communication skills with an ability to influence multi-disciplinary teams including field operations, maintenance, regulatory, finance, and external companies

  • Must be able to multi-task effectively and manage competing deadlines
