  1. Conduct, acquire, plan, perform and oversee waste audits based on established procedures and within relevant industry guidelines at both client sites and internal receiving facilities.
  2. Provide environmental awareness and program recommendations, as well, include the preparation, performance, and follow-up phases of assessment, audits, material reports, internal projects, and client service requests.
  3. Understand specific client needs and establish a system or objective target setting with clients. Develop and coordinate action plans for meeting and exceeding those targets. Work with clients to ensure initiatives and programs are successfully implemented.
  4. Implement customer-specific recovery programs established in partnership with Sales and Account Management teams at customer sites.
  5. Educate and communicate all recovery program initiatives of increasing diversion and overall recycling education at client locations.
  6. Provide clients the required tools and support to monitor, measure, and continually improve the discarded materials management programs at their facility.
  7. Communicate with and support all Cascades Recovery+ personnel and departments involved with the Recovery …PLUS™ Program, monitoring for adherence to program procedures.
  8. Assist functional teams with implementation of new ERP system AMCS
  9. Work with Continuous Improvement team with various projects involving operations and transportation and any other departmental requirements
  10. Support AMCS (Fusion) activities within Operations/transportation areas

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead assessments (such as waste assessment and facility assessments), environmental awareness activities (such as presentations, booths, newsletter, and visual aids), and internal development activities as assigned.
  • Perform selected aspects of formal Waste Audits as assigned.
  • Remain current on environmental and recycling legislation in local markets, internal recovery program acceptance criteria, and current environmental and recovery management issues.
  • Support Sales and Account Management teams that have clients that are mandated under Provincial legislation and guidelines, and work as a member of the Recovery…PLUS™ Department to provide reports which fulfill its criteria.
  • Organize and conduct Waste Audits, Waste Assessments, and Facility Assessments for clients as directed.  The responsibilities under this task include:
    • Initial organization of cost and goals of the assessment or audit with sales or account management and the client.
    • Completion of assessment or audit including all operational coordination, facility profile consolidation, physical material examination, data entry, communication of results, and follow-up.
    • Development and presentation of Waste Reduction Work Plans.
    • Inform any clients with applicable environmental legislation of their requirements. 
  • Work with Sales and Account Management teams in building, implementing, and maintaining customized recovery programs to Cascades Recovery+ new and existing client base.
  • Routinely monitor and assess client’s discarded material management practices in Cascades Recovery+ receiving facilities, assessing conformance to the agreed upon programming. Sending emails with photos and descriptions of non-conformance to Account Management staff.
  • Ensure all client services and internal work is performed according to high standards of professionalism and procedural guidelines.
