Manager, Education

Position Overview:

Under the direction of the Senior Manager of Commercial Education, the Manager of the ANSER Education program will be responsible for the on-going creation and implementation of compelling, commercially focused educational tools and behavioural standards that will enhance the customer and employee experience and support best-in-class service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a living embodiment of Canadian Warmth; to inspire through living by our companies’ values and facilitating immersive teachings to share best practices
  • Develop innovative, meaningful and relevant educational materials for our brand, our commercial experience, all product and other brand storytelling touchpoints
  • Drive development of leader skill sets; monitor respective regions through our Regional ANSER Leads for opportunities and build curated curriculum for improving leadership culture overall
  • Enhance behavioural best practices by monitoring assessments of frontline teams and supporting consistency through behaviour-based trainings or modules
  • Oversee the on-boarding content creation for new management team members and Brand Ambassadors
  • Create retail focused Product Knowledge tools that elevate storytelling in stores
  • Engage, inspire, and educate network of Experience leaders on the nuances of education and aspirational leadership; The Anser Effect
  • Produce and direct video content on an on-going basis to stay connected with global commercial team in an effort to foster consistent messaging and experience

Experience, Education and Designations:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in one or a combination of the following industries: apparel or retail industry, corporate education or training, or corporate communications
  • Proven ability to analyze, evaluate and make recommendations on strategic questions
  • Undergraduate degree with high achievement, in a discipline that teaches quantitative and qualitative analysis and critical thinking (e.g., business, marketing, engineering, law)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer competence in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Must be fluent in English

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

  • Can understand ‘the big picture’ and exercise good business judgement
  • Can structure, break down and solve complex business issues
  • Strong planning and organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and multitask effectively
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple, changing priorities and tight deadlines
  • Able to partner with other functions/business leaders on complex problems and business issues
  • Leadership ability - able to inspire others to action - both direct subordinates and peers
  • Strong understanding of retail and apparel industry, up-to-date on industry events and hold perspective on major issues
  • Ability to analyze financial reports

Working Conditions:

  • Studio productions 1x day/week
  • Flagship as incubator - combination of desk work + active meeting facilitation
  • Travel required (~30%)
